Text Messaging Solutions for Local Government

 

Recent e-government directives have meant that many public sector bodies are looking at using new technologies to enhance communications and services for their 'customers'.

   
  Local Councils
  The e-democracy national project (supported by the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister), looks at enhancing local democracy by improving citizen participation and engagement in council matters.

    An in-bound service allows people notify the council of their needs or worries. SMS Messages are auto-delivered to the correct department or person within the council via email or into an SMS 'inbox'. 'Lamp-post not working on xyz Street', 'Fly tipping on the recreation ground', 'Big pothole on Main Street', etc
